Buick is not giving up the US market yet. Well, the company moved production to China, where the popularity of this carmaker is growing. Interesting, Chinese buyers already have some cool EVs, which are not available in North America. The 2024 Buick Enclave is the largest model in the lineup. A mid-size SUV is a seven-seater. The company announced the next generation but for the 2025 season. So, the vehicle for the upcoming year will be unchanged.
The company won’t put a lot of effort to fix the downsides of the 2024 Buick Enclave. Instead, engineers and designers are shifting focus to the next-gen SUV. Furthermore, a lot of resources General Motors is using for electrification. There are plenty of EVs coming out in the next couple of years, such as the Cadillac Lyriq. Enclave is not one of them. Also, all the electric Buick concepts are exclusive to the Chinese market for now.
Why Buy 2024 Buick Enclave?
First, let’s mention the main reason why not to buy – the new model is arriving in 2025. Fresh styling, a better driving experience, and more intuitive tech are worth waiting. Still, the 2024 Buick Enclave will be a spacious seven-seater with a cozy cabin. We must mention the great noise cancelation and quiet cabin. A V6 is under the hood and most owners are happy with it.
But, automakers are turning to more efficient powertrains. So, a turbo-four can produce an equal amount of power, returning better gas mileage. This is one of the things that bother drivers of the current Enclave. The price is higher, but the SUV is packed with nice equipment. Still, upgrading the 2024 Buick Enclave won’t be cheap, especially if you are after the Avenir version.
Engine, Hybrid
Under the hood of the 2024 Buick Enclave will be a 3.6-liter V6 powertrain. It provides enough power and torque for a smooth ride, despite the size of the SUV. But, many other seven-seaters are turning to smaller displacements with similar outputs. General Motors could use its 2.0-liter turbo-four unit. However, it needs an enhancement to put out similar numbers to the V6. And those are 310 hp and 266 lb-ft.
The gas mileage is one of the things that should definitely be better. The SUV returns 22 mpg combined, or even worse if you take an AWD. Generally speaking, there is an easy fix for that – a hybrid system. But, General Motors is not making them and bosses opted for electric vehicles.
2024 Buick Enclave Pricing, Next-Gen Model
The base MSRP is around $45,000. The Premium model adds $7,000, and the Avenir package is just under $60,000. That is a luxury SUV. However, if you are a Buick fan, we recommend waiting for the new generation. The company confirmed that big changes are coming next year.
The 2024 YM will be available soon. General Motors will pay more attention to the marketing of the next-gen 2025 Enclave. This SUV is coming out late in 2024. Also, the price is going up for sure with all the new technology added.
