The first big redesign of the compact luxury SUV has just been announced. Although the company mentions 2021 YM, we believe the new look will be here for the 2022 Jaguar F-Pace. The size will remain the same. Well, this is one of the larger models in the luxury compact crossover class. The interior is full of advanced features, and the British carmaker is ready to push it even further. The versatility is the key to F-Pace’s popularity. Besides four engine configurations, there are also several trim packages. Definitely, new ones will refresh the lineup and the entire offer.
The F-Pace was the first SUV to enter the market. Now, there are also I-Pace and E-Pace. Not only Jaguar squad is growing, but also Land Rover and Range Rover. The new arrival will stun the market again. One of the most notable additions we can predict is a hybrid unit. But, it is not possible to compare the 2022 Jaguar F-Pace to some of the Land Rover / Range Rover units. Also, not every trim level is going to offer a unique drivetrain. But, the new lineup will look fresh, with updated styling, inside and outside, and with extra colors available.
2022 Jaguar F-Pace Engines
After the redesign, the crossover dropped a diesel unit from the lineup. Well, the entire industry is leaning toward complete electrification. It is also happening with Jaguar. The I-Pace is the EV, for example. So, fewer oil-burners are going to be available in the following years. A 2.0-liter turbo-four remains the base option. The small block can burst 250 hp and 270 lb-ft by default, or 295 hp if engineers squeeze everything out of it. For now. We can find some vehicles using the petrol displacement of the same size with more than 400 ponies. However, the plug-in hybrid support is required. Stronger or weaker setup, the 2022 Jaguar F-Pace is returning 24 mpg combined.
A 3.0-liter supercharged V6 is there for buyers looking for extra power. The powerplant is creating 335 hp and 332 lb-ft, or even 395 hp. It is standard on the F-Pace S trim. Extra energy will cut down the time needed for 0-60 mph acceleration from 6.5 sec to flat 5. The only better record is coming with the famous SVR badge. This package deploys a 5.0-liter V8 and its 550 ponies. In this case, the crossover needs 4 seconds for 0-60 mph sprint. All engines are sending power through an eight-speed auto to all-wheel drive.
New Packages, Colors
The crossover is well-known for its vivid colors. Every configuration had more than 10 paintjob choices. Now, there will be even more. On the other hand, some will cost more than $4,000, which is too much, even for the premium model. There will be three standard editions, which can be upgraded with specs packages later. F-Pace, R-Dynamic and SVR are the starting points. From there, you will choose appropriate engines and then additional packages. The P250 setup is available with standard options and F-Pace S bundle, while the later one is what you get with P340 model.
A V6 in the R-Design creates 395 horsepower. The P400 is available only with the S package. The SVR is a unique configuration, with features and engine not available elsewhere in the lineup. Still, we expect to see a few more options. For example, the previous model used to offer Premium, Prestige, or Sport versions. Now, the info about the crossover is still fresh, and we are sure the 2022 Jaguar F-Pace is going to add even more exclusive options.
2022 Jaguar F-Pace Hybrid
The MHEV is available with a V6 engine. But, it is not exactly what we expect from the 2022 Jaguar F-Pace Hybrid. This crossover will have to make a pure hybrid or the PHEV model to be competitive in the market. Its sibling from the same carmaker, JLR, Range Rover Evoque, features a setup. But, a 2.0-liter is not going to make a difference. Two crossovers don’t share a lot of things in common and the upcoming F-Pace hybrid is about to introduce something spectacular. Jaguar could base it on the I-Pace EV.
Release Date, Price
Updates for the 2022 Jaguar F-Pace will be big and worth of waiting. So, if you are not happy with the current lineup, wait for the model for the next season, which will definitely bring something spectacular. Well, a compact crossover with 550 hp is already a stunning move. But, British carmaker can do it even more surprising. The F-Pace is a luxury crossover and its price is pretty high. The base model climbed above $45,000 and every next upgrade comes with the hefty cost. At the top of the mountain is the SVR package and you will have to spend more than $80,000 if you want to own one.
