Self-Driving 2021 Volvo XC90 Is Level 4 SUV

We expected it from Tesla, BMW, or Nissan. But, the first SUV getting the Level 4 autonomous drive is the 2021 Volvo XC90. Not a surprise, since the Swedish company was the first one in the market with the PHEV system. Popular T8 configuration is managing to squeeze 400 hp from a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine.

Another big thing about the 2021 Volvo XC90 are that production is happening in the new US plant. It makes everything a lot easier for the carmaker and its fans. We can even expect a price drop. Nevertheless, a rumor we like the most is speaking about the all-electric version. The XC40 is already official and the midsize SUV could become EV in 2022. Meanwhile, we are waiting for the EPA approval for the Level 4 system.
