2024 Toyota Venza Review: Prime Model Joins the Lineup

59 0

Toyota brought back Venza SUV after 5-year break. It takes the position in the mid-size two-row segment and uses only a hybrid drivetrain. After the comeback, the company didn’t change too many things on the two following year models. Experts don’t think the 2024 Toyota Venza will bring anything special and that the mid-life update is planned for the 2025 season.

Still, the most recent model offered a new package. There will be some changes on the 2024 Toyota Venza for sure. One of the main upgrade fans want to see is another engine option. We see the plug-in hybrid as a perfect alternative for the standard hybrid. The SUV is one of the most efficient in the class when it comes to the fuel economy, with 39 mpg. The PHEV could add extra power, keeping the mileage at a high level.

Minor interior and exterior changes should include more safety options, a revisit of grades, and fresh colors.

2024 Toyota Venza Prime Hybrid Specs

The 2024 Toyota Venza Prime is going to be a plug-in hybrid system with enhanced power compared to the standard engine configuration. The company won’t go up to 300 hp, as it is the case with the Rav4 PHEV and a few other crossovers. But, extra power is always welcome. Plus, the Venza Prime won’t sacrifice too many miles from the fuel economy.

Standard setup is combining a 2.5-liter petrol unit and electric motor. Combined, the system returns 39 mpg, which is an extraordinary result. A CVT is standard, as well as the AWD. The setup is not bringing exciting drive, though, even with 219 hp coming from a 2.5-liter plant.

Grades and Accessories

Three trim levels are standard since the return of the Venza. The SUV enters the market with the LE package, which includes 18-inch alloy wheels, power-folding mirrors, and keyless entry. Toyota revisited the infotainment system. Now, it features an 8-inch touchscreen, satellite radio, wireless smartphone charging pad, and 4 USB ports for the LE trim.

The mid-range offer brings two options – the new 2024 Toyota Venza Nightshade Package and XLE grade. The second one upgrades the base crossover SUV with larger wheels, LED lights, roof rails, heated seats, simulated leather surfaces, larger infotainment and driver’s displays, and parking sensors. The Nightshade model is pretty much the same, but everything is blacked-out to make the appearance more impressive.

The 2024 Venza Limited stays the top of the range version. Toyota packs is with perforated leather upholstery, ventilated front buckets, heated steering wheel and JBL sound system. All the Venzas are using the Safety Sense 2.5+ package. The Limited edition also adds HUD and a 360-degree camera. The Star Gaze panoramic roof is one of the options we recommend you pick for only $1,500.
