The 2024 Audi Q7 stays the biggest SUV in the lineup. The Q9 won’t happen in next couple of seasons, so the German carmaker is not testing the full-size market. The Q7 will soon finish the 10-year run and we can expect the new generation in 2025. Meanwhile, the 2024 YM stays the same. New packages are probable to refresh the offer, as well as fresh colors.

Under the hood is still a variety of engines, starting from a turbo-four, continuing with a turbo-six, and rounding the circle with a turbocharged V8. The Q7 is pretty competitive in the mid-size luxury SUV market. Main rivals are coming from Germany. Of course, those are BMW X5 and Mercedes-Benz GLE. Cool alternatives are Lincoln Aviator, Infiniti QX60, and Volvo XC90. The best-seller in this segment is the Lexus RX. With the debut of the new generation, the Japanese carmaker will stay a leader.

Entry-Level Model: Q7 45 TSFI

A 2.0-liter turbocharged four-banger is the engine for the base version of the 2024 Audi Q7. The configuration is called 45 TFSI and the 4-cylinder unit is producing 261 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque. Outputs are not so bad, even for the mid-size SUV class. But, we expect more from a luxury model. An 8-speed automatic transmission is standard, and Audi uses the famous Quattro system right from the start to fix things up. The large SUV is pretty thirsty and small displacement can’t improve the mileage too much.

Mid-Range Engine: Turbocharged Inline-Six

A six-cylinder unit is more likely option buyers will pick for a mid-size SUV. A 3.0-liter turbocharged motor delivers 329 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque. The configuration is called 2024 Audi Q7 55 TSFI. The vehicle accelerates 0-60 mph in 5.7 seconds. Again, the same transmission and Quattro system are there. But, a larger engine can tow more than the 45 TSFI, limited to 4,400 pounds. The 55 TSFI increases the towing capacity to 7,700 pounds.

2024 Audi SQ7 and V8 Configuration

The SQ7 is one of the best performers in the market nowadays. The carmaker builds the setup around a 4.0-liter V8 engine and adds turbochargers to get 500 horsepower. The sport-tuned setup is also adding 568 lb-ft of torque. The 0-60 mph acceleration time drops to 4.2 seconds. Also, the mileage is very low. A V8 is very thirsty and the SQ7 returns only 17 mpg combined.
