A V6 engine is standard, but you can combine Black Label with Grand Touring package, which brings PHEV drivetrain.
Powertrains and Specifications
The main source of power for the 2022 Lincoln Aviator remains a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine. It is pretty potent with 400 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque. A 10-speed automatic transmission is sending power to rear wheels by default, or both axles if you decide to pay $2,500. Grand Touring is using a plug-in hybrid configuration based on the same petrol unit. But, electric support enhances outputs to 494 horsepower and 630 lb-ft of torque. AWD is the only option and the SUV makes 23 mpg. The standard edition consumes 18/26 (RWD) and 17/24 (AWD) miles per gallon. It needs 5.5 seconds for 0-60 mph acceleration, while the Grand Touring drops it to flat 5 sec.
2022 Lincoln Aviator Prices
The 2022 Lincoln Aviator is the premium mid-size SUV with three rows of seats. The base price of just $51,000 is very competitive. But, the MSRP goes up pretty rapidly with every upgrade. All-wheel drive will cost $2,500 and the Reserve trim is adding $7,000 in features. The PHEV configuration will cost you at least $70,000. Competition
Lincoln is one of the most prestigious US luxury carmakers. Cadillac is yet to launch the mid-size SUV to compete against its archrivals. Jeep Grand Cherokee might be considered as the rival, but only with a high-end Trackhawk model. Japanese carmakers are out with hybrid units for mid-size SUVs. Lexus RX is the best-seller. Acura introduced a highly-anticipated Type S package. However, the most luxurious models are coming from Europe. Three German and one Swedish companies are leaders. The level of luxury and power coming with BMW X5 and Mercedes GLE are hard to match.
