With the expansion of the Hellcat squad, we must think about the combination of the most popular off-road SUV and the most powerful engine in the segment. A 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI unit is also called Hellcat. The 2022 Jeep Wrangler V8 would gain more than 700 horsepower, that is for sure. Grand Cherokee is tuned to 707, the new Durango beats it with 710, and Ram 1500 truck will create 702 ponies.
The smallest V8 is a 5.7-liter displacement. Buyers can count on 355 hp and 385 lb-ft of torque. All engines are mated to an eight-speed auto gearbox. All-wheel drive is optional in most cases and Rubicon offers it as the standard setup.
Other Engines
Whatever you can imagine, Wrangler is going to offer. The 2022 Jeep Wrangler V8 is one of the final pieces. Another one is the 4xe SUV with the PHEV setup. It is a pretty mighty setup with 375 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. The offer starts either with a turbo-four or a V6. The second one is a well-known Pentastar unit with 285 hp and 260 lb-ft. A smaller displacement is delivering 270 ponies and 295 lb-ft of torque. There is even a diesel unit in the lineup. Engineers included a 3.0-liter EcoDiesel with 260 hp and 442 pound-feet of twisting power to the lineup. So, there is something for everyone.
2022 Jeep Wrangler V8 Rubicon, Trackhawk
Rubicon version is definitely the favorite to get the 2022 Jeep Wrangler V8. This is an off-road package for adventurers. All-terrain tires and upgrades make it one of the most capable SUVs in the market. FCA will have to do something radical with the new Ford Bronco returning. It is questionable if the company is going to offer a V8 with other trim levels. If Hellcat is on the way, then Trackhawk is one of the options. The SUV is not going to appear with the SRT badge, which will remain exclusive to Dodge vehicles.
2022 Jeep Wrangler V8 Price
The special edition with an eight-cylinder engine is one of the most expensive versions with a $75,000 price tag. Well, Rubicon is already coming with a pretty hefty price. If you are after premium features, High Altitude with a V6 will cost around $50,000. A V8 will add at least $15,000. Hellcat is even more expensive. Still, we hope to see a 5.7-liter engine with lighter power outputs.
