It delivers 310 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque, keeping a gas mileage at a respectable level. The SUV can be even more efficient after the redesign and the diet brought by lightweight materials in its body. Well, on the open road, the previous edition of the SUV achieved 27 mpg, when equipped with the FWD. An all-wheel drive is there to improve traction and balance, especially if you want to go off the road. The towing capacity is also at the expected level. The 2022 Chevy Traverse is going to tow up to 5,000 pounds.
Previously, the vehicle used a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine with the RS trim level. However, the four-cylinder unit was dropped. This triggered rumors that Chevrolet is making space for another unit. The 2022 Chevy Traverse Hybrid is still an option, although the company is not making it official. With the big electrification plan and more EVs on the way, bosses also need to think about the mid-size SUV and its rivals. Toyota Highlander dominated this market for a long time. Now, GM’s archrival Ford is also out with Explorer hybrid.

After the redesign, buyers will have to be ready for the price bumps. The 2022 Chevy Traverse will start around $33,000. The mid-range offer comes with the best value. However, fans will have to splash around $40,000 for the LT and RS packages. If you are a Chevy lover and you are not willing to replace it with the Cadillac, the High Country edition will offer you luxury features and technology at the price of some premium SUVs.
