The 2021 Lexus LX 570 could be the last run for the SUV we know. It is not a secret anymore – the new generation is on the way. It should be called LX 600. However, it is not going to enter production until 2022. Until the next-gen LX appears, the current version is going to be unchanged.
The 2021 Lexus LX 570 will be available only in two trim levels – two and three-row. Well, the SUV is already packed with a tone of stuff. Its price will tell everything about the expectations. The new model will start at above $86,000. All-wheel drive is standard, while the third row and other options are adding $5,000.
Changes for the new model are going to be minor. Toyota is developing new infotainment systems for its premium brand, so more features are going to be available on the LX570. Under the hood is the same 5.7-liter V8 unit. The next-gen LX600 will update the engine room as well.
2021 Lexus LX 570 Specs
A 5.7-liter powerplant is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission for 383 horsepower. A V8 also delivers 403 lb-ft of torque. All the flagship models are carrying the same system (Land Cruiser SUV and Tundra truck). reliability is the main reason for success, but the fuel economy is something to improve in the future. Well, the 2021 MY is not going to move too far from 14 mpg, which is one of the poorest gas mileage. Still, the lovers of premium SUVs won’t care too much about it.
On the other hand, you won’t mind a high towing capacity numbers. The 2021 Lexus LX 570 can pull 8,500 lbs. The transmission sends power to all wheels. The multi-terrain system is cool if you plan to go off the asphalt with the SUV. But, be ready to spend more money on fuel. Like Land Cruiser, the LX closes the gap between utility and luxury.
So, when building the 2021 Lexus LX 570, you won’t have too many choices. Engine, drive system, and transmission don’t have alternatives. Buyers will pick either two- or three-row versions. After the latest redesign, the LX can offer 81 cubic feet of cargo space. That is not a competitive room for the full-size class. The new LX 600 will definitely improve the situation here.
The lack of cargo space is not harming overall comfort. Quad-Zone automatic climate control is standard. Also, you will find a moonroof and a huge 12-inch touchscreen at the center of the dashboard. The new infotainment system is on the way with more speakers for audio. The LX is pretty safe thanks to numerous advanced features, such as 360-degree cameras, parking sensors, emergency braking, lane departure, and lane-keep assists. If you want to improve the offer, there are Mark-Levinson audio with 19 speakers, a wireless charger, and a head-up display.

Lexus LX 600 Replaces the LX 570
Not too long ago we found out that the company filed for the new name. The LX 600 appearance confirmed rumors about the new generation of the full-size premium SUV. Well, after more than ten years, it was about time. Still, nothing is official yet, since the company is waiting for the brand to be approved. When it happens, we will find out more about Lexus’ plans.
Rumors say the complete redesign and a new generation are certain. What is more interesting, the fresh engine will take the position under the hood. The plan is to bring a more efficient unit. A 5.7 model is consuming too much fuel, but it also provides power for extreme situations. If the rumors come true, the new LX600 could keep a V8 drivetrain, but a smaller displacement, with a turbo system to maximize outputs. However, this model is not coming out before the 2022-2023 season.
