Porsche added three new trim levels for its flagship Cayenne SUV. The most exciting offer is using hybrid technology and pumps out 670 horsepower. This is the 2020 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid and it is going to be available in the first quarter of next year for $162,000. This version will be also available as a Coupe. The third addition is standard Cayenne Coupe E-Hybrid.
The package is combing already exceptional petrol engine and its 540 hp with an electric motor. What’s more, the 2020 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid will be able to run by using this battery only. Well, the range is not as stunning as the total output, or the price. Again, that is not all. Further upgrades include a sleeker Coupe version. Max speed of 183 mph and 0-60 mph acceleration in 3.5 seconds are promised.
Under the hood of the 2020 Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid is a 4.0-liter V8 engine that delivers 541 horsepower. The hybrid system is completed with an electric motor. Its capacity is 134 hp. These two combined can burst 670 horses. The E-Hybrid system adds a charging cable for the fast recharge in 2.5 hours. Well, you will need a 240-volt 50-amp circuit. The company also announced outputs of its new flagship SUV. By using only electric power, the Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid will go over 20 miles. 2020 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid Coupe
If you think there is nothing left the 2020 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid can offer, you are wrong. Not only that engineers had a lot of troubles building this SUV, but also designers. The new vehicle is a spacious mid-size model. But, the interior will take some damage if you purchase the Coupe version. With a sleeker and sportier look, this vehicle will be one of the rare hybrid performance-tuned coupe SUVs on the market. We will see if the BMW is launching the new X6M with an electric drivetrain. The only other solution is Mercedes GLE AMG 63.
Cayenne Coupe E-Hybrid
If the price for the Turbo S variant is too high, then you can consider a lighter version of the SUV. The company also offers the 2020 Cayenne E-Hybrid, which will start at almost half of the price of the Turbo S. On the other hand, forgot about these magnificent numbers on the specs sheet. Standard setup will return ‘only’ 455 horsepower.
2020 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid Price
The cost of the 2020 Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid starts at $162,000. If you choose the coupe version, that costs another $2,500. The company will release this SUV in the next six months and then we will see the complete list of features the E-Hybrid lineup is offering. We expect the same entry-level equipment for all three models. Of course, Coupe is not the only upgrade. Heavily-loaded performance hybrid SUV will cost much more. Just for the record – the E-Hybrid system adds around $35k to the price of the standard Porsche Turbo S.
