2020 Infiniti QX60 Redesign Details

The 2020 Infiniti QX60 is a mid-size luxury SUV with three rows of seats. It can accommodate up to seven passengers. The redesign for the upcoming season is not bringing too many changes. The SUV is mostly unchanged, and the company cut the Limited trim level.

Well, the vehicle that is already seven years old still meet the demands of the market in the US. The QX60 is a stylish, safe, and reliable model. Plus, it offers plenty of luxury features to boost the overall impression. And the price, of course. Whatsoever, Nissan, as a parent company, plans the new generation in 2021, and that is the main reason why 2020 YM is unchanged.

The mid-size SUV returns 22 mpg from its 3.5-liter V6 engine. We expected the new transmission, but the company keeps a reliable CVT. Pure trim level offers more features, while the top-notch equipment comes with Luxe model. Advanced safety features are available and these are making 2020 Infiniti QX60 a star in the segment.

Why Buy 2020 Infiniti QX60? And Why Not?

If you are after the mid-size three-row premium SUV, then the 2020 Infiniti QX60 is one of the best options. This model is quite old now, but its look is still sleek and stylish. We already mentioned safety features. Well, you are getting automatic emergency braking as a standard option. Upper trim levels and optional packages include adaptive cruise control and active lane monitor. The interior has nice isolation and the engine is not making too much noise.

The downsides of the QX60 you will mostly find inside the cabin. First of all, there is no too much space for passengers in the third row. The SUV is 200 inches long, and it lacks cargo space as well. So, the company needs to redesign the complete interior to make more room all around the cockpit.

Engines and Specs

The only drivetrain available for the 2020 Infiniti QX60 is a 3.5-liter V6 unit. Well, it is a reliable and durable engine that delivers power to numerous Nissan’s regular and premium vehicles. The mid-size SUV can count on 295 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque. We thought the company could replace the CVT transmission, but it is still a power router for the V6 drivetrain. It comes with a manual mode and the system returns 22 mpg combined, either with front- or all-wheel drive.

Hybrid

Like for the Pathfinder, the 2020 Infiniti QX60 needs to hybridize its engine room. Some of its rivals are already out with a hybrid drivetrain and the QX60 doesn’t want to lose the pace. Rumors about this kind of a system are swirling for a while and fans are surprised why Nissan is not launching it. The development is ongoing, so it is just a matter of time when will the Japanese company add it to the lineup.

We believe that hybrid is part of the first update for the new SUV. The carmaker launched the initial squad, but there is always room for upgrades.  If this doesn’t happen, then you can consider other mid-size models with a hybrid powertrain – Acura MDX, Mercedes GLE, BMW X, Volvo XC90, or Lexus RX.

2020 Infiniti QX60 Configurations

There are only two trim levels available for the current lineup of the 2020 Infiniti QX60. The premium SUV comes as Pure or Luxe. The carmaker discontinued top of the range Limited model. This tells us that bigger changes are on the way. The new generation is just around the corner and designers are not wasting too much time to the outgoing concept.

Still, the 2020 Infiniti QX60 is a stylish and well-equipped SUV. With it, you will get a comfortable and safe interior with a lot of infotainment accessories and optional upgrades. But, let’s start with the standard offer.

The Pure edition comes with 18-inch wheels, LED DRLs, fog lights, power, and liftgate. Heated seats are available for the first two rows. Three-zone automatic climate control is standard, as well as the USB ports for in every row. The leather steering wheel and leatherette seat covers are boosting the overall comfort.

The Luxe model raises everything to a new level. It offers all the things you will find on the Pure trim and adds Bose premium audio with 13 speakers, roof rails, memory system for seats, steering wheel, and mirrors, and remote engine start system.

2020 Infiniti QX60 Price

Since the redesign is not big, the 2020 Infiniti QX60 kept the price from its predecessors. The biggest change is the more expensive AWD system, which costs $200 more than before. The base MSRP is $44,350 for the Pure FWD. Luxe trim brings upgrades in the total value of $46,150. If you want an AWD, then the price jumps by $2,000 for each trim level.
