The redesign of the 2020 GMC Yukon is postponed for the next season and the new generation of the SUV. The vehicle is related to two big Chevy SUVs – Tahoe and Suburban, which will also get the new versions in 2021. So, General Motors chiefs decided to give a break to the Yukon and prepare extra features for the next-gen model.
Unchanged, the full-size SUV offers a pair of V8 engines. Buyers will choose between a 5.3 and a 6.2 displacement. The other one also comes with a top of the range Denali package. With this suite, Yukon becomes the premium SUV. Still, if you are not willing to spend so much, the 2020 GMC Yukon also comes in a few other variants. The latest model is the Graphite Performance Edition.
The big rig is also offering a lot of cool features as standard equipment. Upgrade packages, larger wheels, infotainment system extras… these options make the Yukon fun to build. The XL version offers more space inside and the SUV can take up to nine passengers.
Dimensions, Seating Capacity, Cargo Space
The new 2020 GMC Yukon is not gaining extra length. We can hear that will happen for the upcoming new generation in 2021. Until then, the standard edition will be 204 inches long, while the XL version adds more than 20 inches. Also, the difference in length of wheelbases is 14 in (Yukon 116 in, Yukon XL 130 in). Both versions are also available with the Denali model. Dimensions are the same for this premium SUV.
The base Yukon is offering maximum seating capacity for nine persons. Upper trim levels will come with 8-seat layout, including Denali. Behind the third row, the standard model offers 15 cubic feet and XL 39 cubic feet of cargo space. The capacity raises to 52/77 cu.ft. behind the second row and up to 95/121 cubic feet when all seats are folded.
